Candace Nelson is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience spanning pension administration, client relationship management, regulatory compliance and pension fund operations. As Manager, Pension Administration, she is responsible for overseeing the administration of pension plans, ensuring regulatory requirements are met, while promoting excellent client service. She engages with regulators, consultants, industry professionals and internal stakeholders to support the effective management of pension plans and the delivery of effective client solutions.

Prior to joining VM Pensions, Candace served as a Senior Client Relationship Officer at Guardian Life Limited, and previously as a Corporate Officer at NCB Insurance Agency & Fund Managers Ltd. Her career has also included experience in business analysis, process improvement, risk management and data analysis. This diverse background complements her extensive knowledge of pension administration and provides a balanced perspective on the technical and operational aspects of pension management, strengthening her understanding of the needs of Trustees, Sponsors and pension plan members.

Candace holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Actuarial Science from the University of the West Indies, Mona, and a professional Certificate in the Principles and Practices of Project Management from Mona School of Business and Management. She has also completed professional development courses in Management Development, Agile Business Analysis, Data Analytics, and Agile and Digital Transformation.
