Glenn Lawrence is the Chief Executive Officer of Couples Resorts, a position he has held since 2004, with the primary responsibility to oversee the operational, marketing and financial sectors of the four Couples Resorts – Couples Negril, Couples Swept Away, Couples Tower Isle and Couples Sans Souci.

Glenn has been in the tourism industry since 1989 and has been with the House of Issa since 1994 in the capacities of Financial Controller, Group Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer. Glenn’s career in the tourism industry has also included stints with both SuperClubs and Sandals in senior financial positions. Prior to 1989, he worked for seven years in both London and Bermuda in the financial and business sector. He is a past student of Wolmer’s Boys School and received his tertiary education at both C.A.S.T. (now Utech) and UWI (Mona).

Glenn is currently a Director of ten active companies within the Couples Resorts group of hotels as well as serving as a board member on several other institutions including the Montego Bay Christian Academy and VM Pensions Management, where he is Chairman of their Investment Committee. He was also a board member of the Western Regional Health Authority (WRHA) and Chairman of their Audit and Finance Committee (2016-2019). Glenn was a member of the Tax Reform Working Group (2017), Tourism Workers Pension Scheme (2015-2019), JTB Audit & Finance Committee (2014-2017) and Chairman of the JHTA Finance Committee (2014-2018), to name a few.

Glenn is an avid traveler and enjoys golf, football, squash and running.
